Early Years Key Worker - 15 hours

Hours of work: 15 hours per week. 9am - 12pm or 12.30pm to 3.30pm, Monday to Friday.

38 weeks per year plus INSET days (39 working weeks per year)

September 2024 start, however an earlier start can be discussed

Salary Band: Band 2, points 3-5

Salary: £23,426 - £24,189 full time equivalent including fringe allowance (pro-rata). Salary negotiable depending on skills and experience

The Wickford Church of England School and Little Teds Pre-School are looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Early Years Key Worker to join our friendly team.

The successful applicant will:

  • Provide a stimulating and safe environment for children in which they can develop to their full potential
  • Supervise children in various activities
  • Establish positive relationships with children and their parent/carer
  • Promote an inclusive and acceptance for all children, including those with special needs;
  • Monitor and record children's activities, progress and development
  • Record detailed observations
  • Assist children with snack time, including the preparation of food, assisting with eating and clearing up

Qualifications and experience:

  • Educated to at least Level 2, ideally level 3 in Childcare
  • Child protection and safeguarding legislation and procedures
  • Basic First Aid
  • Knowledge of child development

The Wickford Church of England School is a small, friendly school, close to good transport links. Our school is a place where children can thrive in a safe and nurturing environment. The school provides education for children from the ages of 2-7 in the local area.
