Play Leader with Midday Assistant Duties

Hours of Work: 8 Hours 45 Minutes per week 38 weeks per year (Term Time excluding Non Pupil Days)

Days of Work: Monday to Friday 12.00 - 13.45 Daily

Actual Salary: £4,115 - £4,354 (depending on experience)

A new opportunity has arisen for a Play Leader to join our successful team supporting children at lunchtime. St Peter's C of E (VC) Primary School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, caring, committed and flexible Play Leader to organise and lead lunchtime games and activities for our children.

The position will require the successful candidate to supervise the pupils' activities at lunchtime, ensuring high standards of health & safety, behaviour and wellbeing. The role of the Play Leader is to promote positive play and interactions enabling our children to flourish.

The Play Leader should act as a responsible, caring person, always with the welfare of the pupils in mind. It is essential to have a positive attitude with the ability to communicate with children in a firm but fair manner.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate patience and show a commitment to supporting children and working as part of a team.

This role will also involve generic Midday Supervisor duties involving the daily clearing of tables and the school hall and providing cover for other Midday Supervisors where necessary.

This role would be suited to someone enthusiastic, personable, creative, empathetic and able to communicate effectively, whilst maintaining a calm and professional manner, under pressure.
