Inclusion with DSL Responsibilities

Join Glebe Primary School and become an integral part of our dynamic team as a highly skilled and dedicated Inclusion Manager! You will collaborate closely with the Head of our Enhanced provision for Deaf pupils, shaping the lives of our students and making a tangible impact every day.

At Glebe Primary, we prioritise work-life balance and staff wellbeing, ensuring you have the support needed to excel while maintaining a fulfilling personal life. We are a primary school that prides itself on our commitment to work-life balance and staff wellbeing. Our leadership team is passionate about setting an example and actively supporting our staff in achieving this balance, while still maintaining high expectations for excellence in all areas.

In this role, you'll provide crucial support to our staff in line with the SEN code of practice, directly engaging with children and their families to foster a supportive learning environment. Additionally, as DSL, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding our school community, ensuring the safety and security of all our students. This includes attending multi-agency meetings when necessary and actively supporting the operational safeguarding procedures of the school.

You will be an integral part of our leadership team, working collaboratively to drive our strategic priorities forward. One of these priorities is actively championing pupils with additional needs and ensuring their full inclusion in all aspects of school life.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a deep understanding of the needs of students with special educational needs and disabilities. You will also need to be an excellent communicator, able to build strong relationships with both staff and families.

If you are a dedicated and passionate SENCo looking for a new challenge, or an experienced Teacher with experience of SEND and willing to undertake the professional qualification, then Glebe Primary School is the place for you. Join our team and help us make a difference in the lives of our children.

The role will also require a two day teaching commitment - year group to be negotiated.

We can offer:

· a warm and welcoming school that places the well-being of staff, pupils and parents at the heart of what we believe promoted by staff representation at our monthly well-being focus group
· L.E.A.R.N; vision to enable our whole community to embody the values of Leadership, Excellence, Ambition, Resilience and Norms (Culture)
· bespoke Continuous Professional Development as an entitlement to all staff
· automatic enrolment into Teachers Pension Scheme
· close links with the local Deaf community and beyond
· hard working, supportive and motivated colleagues.
· enthusiastic well-behaved pupils who are eager to learn.

Glebe Primary School is part of The Rayleigh Schools Trust. The Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff to share this commitment. The appointment is subject to satisfactory references, medical clearance and an enhanced DBS check.

All appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements to ensure the safeguarding of children and young people. All positions will involve appropriate checks and clearances.
