Salary: £32,189 - £49,274 (Academy Qualified Teachers Scale) plus £5,000 Academy Responsibility Allowance

We are seeking an outstanding teacher and developing leader to become a key member of ouraspirational academy in the role of Quality of Education Lead (Year Group Lead). Teachers with subject specialisms in English, Science, Maths Humanities or Music are encouraged to apply.

The Quality of Education Leader is responsible for supporting the Senior Leadership team on a day-to-day basis in relation to supporting assessment, out of hours learning and intervention strategies which support student progress.

The successful candidate will beable to demonstrate impact in a position of responsibility or the potential to achieve this, and have an enthusiasm that will inspire our students to outstanding outcomes.

The Quality of Education Lead will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following key areas;

To lead a cohort of students. This involves giving a clear vision and direction to work, identifying key areas for improvement including behaviour, uniform and attendance. Liaising with parents as appropriate.
To manage both the people and resources associated with the year group.
accountability for the progress and attainment of students on intervention pathways
directly leading, coordinating, managing and performance managing staff and resources within assessment point processes
role modelling professional standards, team ethos and higher level communications, leadership and management skills, including maintaining a quality of teaching, learning and assessment which is typically 'good.'
To monitor the quality of learning experienced by the year group, liaising with heads of departments and offering support and guidance where necessary.
To promote the ethos of the school through leading high-quality assemblies and student briefings.
To monitor the effectiveness of interventions and report to SLT termly on the progress being made by students in the year group
Our academy operates across two sites.The Lower Academy specialises in the teaching of our Key Stage 3 students, whilst The Upper Academy specialises in teaching Key Stage 4 and 5.

The Academies provide staff with the most appropriate and effective support to ensure that their professional development needs are fully met and that there is a high level of challenge in the opportunities they are offered. We have a weekly CPD programme for all and a very strong record of developing staff. We have an excellent track record of providing promotion and responsibility opportunities to staff that aspire to leadership.
