Unqualified Early Years Practitioner

Job Description

We are looking for someone who wants to train and gain a Level 2 or Level 3 in Childcare either through our apprenticeship route or as an adult learner. We have the option of both face to face training with the local college or online training with a provider who we have worked with to support other learners.

You must have a kind and caring nature, desire to be a child's hero, have excellent communication skills and be able to work well as part of the team. Must be available to work shifts between the hours of 7.30am - 6pm, learn and display knowledge of the EYFS and safeguarding, create exciting play environments for children to thrive and engage in fun, educational play with teachable moments and supervise children ensuring their safety and security is a primary focus.

Also:

Must have the ability to pretend to eat play dough creations, drink numerous cups of pretend tea, be able to count the heads of many small moving heads, be able to read a book upside down, sing in the rain, fluent in dinosaur talk, know all the characters from Peppa Pig and Paw Patrol, be able to laugh at jokes you don't find funny and offer big, warm hugs whenever required!

Information about the School

Home from Home Childcarers is based in Old Harlow. We are open from 7.30am - 6pm for 50 weeks of the year (closed for 2 weeks at Christmas). We provide full day care for children aged 3 months - 4 years 11 months.

We also have Home from Home Kids Club at a local Primary school and provide after school care for 5 local primary school and holiday club care for children up to 11 years.

All appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements to ensure the safeguarding of children and young people. All positions will involve appropriate checks and clearances.
