Learning Support Assistant

Contract: Part Time Permanent
Hours: 32.5
Working weeks: 39 (Term Time plus 5 Inset Days)
Scale 3 Points 4-5 £21189 - £21575 pro rata (Actual Salary £15920 - £16382 pa)
We are looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our team. The post is for 32.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday, term time plus 5 inset days. The role of the LSA is to provide support for our learners by supporting classes, individuals or small groups of people. The role may also include lunch duties (with a 30-minute lunch break).

The successful candidate should:
- Have strong understanding of the primary curriculum
- Be able to provide and deliver interventions to individual and groups of pupils in Early Years and Key Stage 1
- Have a proven track record of delivering high quality interventions
- Be committed to raising standards and meeting the needs of individual children
- Be positive, enthusiastic and a real team player
- Be self-motivated, resilient and able to work using their own initiative

Information about the School
Lakelands Primary School is a brand new primary school that opened in September 2020 with state of the art facilities in Stanway, Colchester. Year on year the school will grow, providing 420 places for local children between four and eleven years old by 2026. At Lakelands Primary School we are creating a new school where children can thrive and flourish and fulfil their potential.
