Do you have experience in the aviation engineering industry or an academic background in this area?

Were you an Instructor/Trainer in Aircraft Maintenance?

Maybe you're looking to transition into teaching?

Or might you be interested in looking for a P/T or associate trainer role?

We're looking for you! Currently recruiting Teachers in engineering.

Our successful college at Stansted Airport opened in September 2018. The College is a partnership between London Stansted Airport and Harlow College - the first of its kind at any airport in the country. The centre has purpose built, industry standard facilities providing training for over 500 young people per year.

Do you want to become part of this truly exciting project and help to train the next generation of Aircraft Maintenance Mechanics/Engineers?

We are seeking to appoint enthusiastic and talented Aircraft Mechanics/Technicians to join our team at Stansted Airport College. This is a fantastic opportunity to pass on your skills and inspire the next generation by working in Further Education. Working in a vibrant and positive learning environment, you will play a key role in preparing, planning, training and assessing theory and/or practical sessions for our Aeronautical Engineering Trainees and Apprentices.

Some training or assessing experience is preferred, however, as long as you have a passion for your specialism, strong communication skills and are willing to train on the job, we will support you to undertake a teaching or assessing qualification, if not already held.

Our full time teaching staff normally teach up to 24 hours per week during term time. If you are looking for part-time work, we have the flexibility to work around your current shift patterns. We are offering full time, part time and evening working opportunities.

The successful candidate can expect investment in their personal and professional development as well as an excellent benefits package including 42 days annual leave plus bank holidays and an excellent Pension Scheme (Teachers' Pension Scheme). Salary on application.

Still unsure if this is the right role for you?

Contact Jenny Hogan on j.hogan@harlow-college.ac.uk for an informal discussion.

Closing Date: midday 26th September 2022

This college is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
