We are looking for a talented, inspirational, resilient, hard-working and flexible tutor of PSHE, Careers and Life Skills. This person must care for young people and be passionate about supporting them to achieve the best outcomes possible and be able to deliver high quality education and support for vulnerable young people aged 14-16 with a range of complex educational and SEMH needs.
Would you like to be part of a team that provides hope for the future, healing and wholeness, acceptance as part of a nurturing community and opportunities for achievement for vulnerable young people who have experienced trauma, rejection and exclusion?
This is a significant role in a small, unique school that has achieved Trauma Informed School status and Attachment Aware status. The salary for the role is determined by individual factors bespoke to the unique context of our setting: the benefits of very small class sizes and the associated reduction in lesson preparation and marking time; a relatively short timetabled day; and additional support, advice and guidance associated with working in a small experienced and trained team.
Open Box Education Centre is a small independent Alternative Provision School providing a KS4 curriculum for students aged 14-16 with unmet or undiagnosed trauma, recognised special education needs or for whom a mainstream school placement has not been possible or appropriate. Our small team of dedicated, caring and professional staff provide full-time education and therapeutic services for up to 16 students to help them grow in confidence, trust and self-esteem and experience success in their last years of secondary school.
What we can offer you:
· The chance to be part of a successful Alternative Provision school that is dedicated to supporting young people who have experienced trauma, rejection and exclusion by providing opportunities for achievement, acceptance as part of a community and hope for the future.
· A significant role in a caring, professional and collaborative small team of staff who are dedicated and committed to the success and welfare of all students.
· A small, busy, friendly, supportive and caring working environment.
This is an exciting time to join our team as we continue to develop innovative ways to meet the complex needs of vulnerable and challenging young people and the increasing local demand for high quality alternative provision.
