Location: Harlow

Full time or Part Time available

Are you an Engineer? We're looking for you!

In 2017 Harlow College invested £11 million in our 'Harlow Advanced Manufacturing & Engineering Centre' (HAMEC) from which we now deliver training to our students.

We are looking for engineers that have knowledge in any of the following areas:

· PLCs

· Electrical installation

· Three phase motors and drives

· Microcontrollers

· Electronic devices and circuits

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and talented member of staff to join our Engineering team. This is a fantastic opportunity to pass on your skills and inspire the next generation by working in Further Education. Working in a vibrant and positive learning environment, you will play a key role in preparing, planning, co-ordinating, assessing and delivering to both full time and apprentice learners.

You must have a either a minimum of a Level 3 qualification or equivalent in Engineering OR significant experience within the engineering industry. However, you don't need to have a qualification in teaching, just a passion for your specialism, strong communication skills and be willing to train on the job, as we will support staff to undertake a teaching or assessing qualification, if not already held. Holding a TAQA qualification would also be preferred but not essential.

The successful candidate can expect the College to fund any training required for the role, investment in their professional development, opportunities to further their career as well as an excellent benefits package including 42 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
