School Business Manager

Full Time/Permanent

Scale 8/Points 25 - 28 (£30,095 - £32,798) dependent on experience

St Andrew's C of E Primary School is delighted to invite you apply to be part of our friendly and supportive team as our School Business Manager. We are a kind and caring school and pre-school, where our children's needs are at the heart of everything that we do. We are seeking to appoint an efficient, highly organised and motivated individual to take on the position of School Business Manager incorporating Finance, HR Personnel and Premises and to be a member of the school's Senior Leadership Team.

Main areas of responsibility include:

· Finance management, including budget preparation /monitoring and governor reporting

· Management of personnel

· Premises management, including health and safety

· Operating, maintaining and developing the administrative procedures

· Line management of Premises, Catering and Administration staff

· Attend governor meetings

We are looking for a candidate who will be part of our growing school community to support our teachers to provide the best opportunities for learning through effective financial management. The applicant must have experience in financial management; be somebody who is professional, confidential and an effective communicator to lead our office and site team.

Knowledge of SIMS FMS/Education Payroll Systems and Microsoft Suite are desirable but training will be given where required. The successful candidate should have a proven ability to work under pressure and preferred qualifications would be in Accountancy/Bookkeeping, H&S, ICT, CSBM or DSBM.

Information about the School

Dear Candidate Thank you for your interest in the position in our school.
St Andrew’s CE Primary School is situated in the village of North Weald, close to Epping. There are currently 326 pupils, age 4 – 11 years on roll plus a pre-school with 16 places for 3 to 4 year olds. The majority of our pupils live in the village of North Weald. Class teachers are supported by a very experienced team of Learning Support Assistants who also take on additional responsibilities within the school. We have an experienced SEND team who provide invaluable support for our children. We have a strong musical tradition and are also keen to provide as many sporting opportunities for our pupils as possible. Staff provide our children with a wide range of before and after school clubs. We also have an efficient and dedicated team of administrative staff. At St Andrews we are very proud of our inclusive, Christian ethos. We strive to ensure that everyone in the school community has the opportunity to be the best they can be. Our last Ofsted inspection, in January 2018, judged our school as continuing to be Good in all areas. Whilst our website is very informative and will give you a flavour of our school, I would welcome visits to see the school in action.
