Southend High School for Boys will be opening its new Autism Resource Base (ARB) in September 2022.
We are now in the process of searching for caring and self-motivated learning support assistants to join a team of excellent staff to assist in the support and inclusion of students with an Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) within the ARB and in mainstream classroom.

Key Information for candidates-
Working weeks per year: 39
Hours per week: 31.25 hours to be worked over five days (Monday to Friday).
Daily working hours: 8.15am-3.30pm (with a one hour unpaid lunch break every day)
Pay: The post is paid on Essex Schools' Local Government Pay Scale 4, point 6 (within range 6-7). The full time equivalent pay for this Scale is £20,043 per year and the actual salary for this part time post based on the hours outlined above will be £14,447.74 per year. These figures include the holiday pay entitlement for someone with less than 5 years' service. Employees are paid monthly in twelve equal months per year.
