We wish to appoint an exceptional Teacher of Geography for September 2022 on a one year fixed term contract until 31st August 2023. This is a unique opportunity to join a successful Academy as part of a supportive and very hard working team.
The post is open teachers of all level of experience and we welcome ECTs. The successful candidate will have an enthusiasm that will inspire students to outstanding outcomes.
We are an aspirational Academy operating across two sites. The Lower Academy specialises in the teaching of our Key Stage 3 students, whilst The Upper Academy specialises in teaching Key Stage 4 and 5. This post will initially be based at the Academy that best suits the skills of the candidate and the needs of the students. We pride ourselves on being a truly inclusive Academy and this is actively underpinned by our motto 'Aspire Believe Achieve'.
Both of our Academies are rated as 'Good' by Ofsted and we are looking for colleagues who share the drive and passion necessary to ensure every student achieves their potential.
The Academy prides itself on providing staff with the most appropriate and effective support to ensure that their professional development needs are fully met and that there is a high level of challenge in the opportunities they are offered. We have a weekly CPD programme for all and the Academy has a very strong record of developing staff. We have an excellent track record of providing promotion and responsibility opportunities to staff that aspire to leadership.

Information about the School
The Basildon Academies is focused upon developing the whole child; our curriculum has been developed to enable our students to develop their knowledge, understanding and skills so that they will become lifelong learners. This includes opportunities for linguistic, mathematical, scientific, technical, human, social, physical and artistic learning so that students make progress in a wide range of subjects.

Our Sixth Form is a major part of the academy with the structure modelling itself on developing independent learning skills like those seen in universities which allows students to continue their studies in their specialist subject areas. Students are very much encouraged to become mature adults being engaged in many aspects of the life of the academy which further develops those much needed skills to go on into university or the world of work.
