New Rickstones Academy is graded 'Good' (May 2018) and has a state of the art new building offering fantastic facilities for both students and staff. Over the last 6 years the academy has seen a huge increase in student numbers, with the number of students on roll more than doubling. The academy is now oversubscribed and we have an existing new build in progress to further increase student numbers to meet demand. New Rickstones Academy is a great place to work with a friendly and supportive staff team. Staff numbers have also increased and staff development is a priority with an extensive and hugely successful CPD (Continuing Professional Development) program to further develop our excellent staff.

We are looking for a Midday Assistant to support the safety, welfare and good conduct of the students during the midday break in designated areas and to assist with cleaning in and around dining areas. The successful candidate will have experience of general cleaning activities and knowledge of how to maintain a safe working environment. You will be friendly, confident and proactive. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to build good relationships. With staff and students.

This role is 5 hours per week, 38 working weeks. Working hours 1-2pm Monday to Friday. The role is due to start September 2022.

New Rickstones Academy is a secondary school based in Witham. This is an exciting time to join New Rickstones Academy as we continue to expand. Over the last 8 years, student numbers have more than doubled, leading to oversubscription and the addition of a new building in September 2022 to accommodate the growing demand. We maintained our 'Good' OFSTED rating in 2023.
