27.25 hours per week (term time) - Monday to Friday (8.30am to 12.30pm & 1.20pm to 3.05pm)

Following the retirement of the postholder we are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, reliable and flexible Learning Support Assistant to work initially in Year 6, who can provide general and/or specific assistance to pupils under the guidance of the class teacher. The ideal candidate will be an excellent team play, but be confident in working independently using their own initiative.
Essential requirements:
- commitment to supporting and extending the children's learning and helping develop their critical thinking
- confident in making judgements about children's abilities and provide insightful and useful observations
- competent in maintaining appropriate and accurate records of assessment
- have creative ideas which can be contributed to the planning of activities
- excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
- willingness to learn new skills and take on different tasks when required
- demonstrate high expectations of achievement for all children
- GCSE English and Maths or equivalent (grade C/level 5 or above)
