Shift 1:
15 hours per week, 52.14 weeks. Scale 5. Holidays to be taken in school closure periods.
Scale 5 - £20,852 - 22,129 per annum FTE (actual pay £8,705.07-£9,222.38)

You will work a two week shift pattern. Week One: Monday to Friday 07:00am until 10.00am and
Week Two Monday to Friday 2.30pm to 5.30pm. Some flexibility is required with regards to evening lettings and events.
The role can be either split for two people to share responsibility, or as a split shift for one person.



Due to the pending retirement of our current site manager, who has worked happily at our school for over 25 years, Kelvedon Hatch Community Primary School is looking for one/ two motivated, experienced, enthusiastic and caring Site Managers.



This is a key position, providing vital support to the continuing success of our school and is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated individual.
The successful candidate will possess the ability to develop positive relationships with all members of the school community and an aptitude for practical work.
Experience in a trade such as plumbing or electrical work would be an asset, although is not essential. Experience of maintaining Swimming Pools would be a distinct advantage.



We are seeking someone who:
• Is reliable, energetic, has vision and takes pride in their work
• Will ensure that our school site is safe, clean and tidy to provide a high-quality learning environment for our children
• Will undertake preventative maintenance & repairs and is practical
• Will take a key role in Health & Safety checks and monitoring with input and awareness to COSHH and Risk Assessments
• Is aware of Safe Handling Practices
• Has a flexible approach to their work and ability to work independently
• Has strong DIY and handyman skills, for example, decorating, carpentry, plumbing
• Has good communication skills as you will be liaising with contractors, tradesman as well as pupils and staff.
• Has experience of Pool Maintenance. This site has a swimming pool. Maintenance experience would be a distinct advantage although full training will be given.



Duties will include general repairs and maintenance, locking and unlocking premises, general security, porterage, DIY, record keeping, etc.

This role includes working in the school holidays when hours can be consolidated by arrangement.



Prior experience within a similar setting is desirable, although not essential.



Full driving licence and use of own car is essential as you may be required to attend the school outside of normal working hours and purchase minor repair supplies.
