Required September 2022. 32.5 hours per week (6.5 hours per day Monday to Friday) term time.
We have a number of great opportunities for a specialist behaviour support role to work with children with Social Emotional Mental Health Needs in an innovative provision named GROW which works with schools to prevent permanent exclusion. We are looking to appoint positive, enthusiastic and committed LSAs to work in our provisions based at Lyons Hall Primary School in Braintree, Braiswick Primary School and Monkwick Junior School in Colchester.
Are you ready for an exciting new challenge supporting the needs of children in the Braintree or Colchester area? If you have the skills and values of working in such a provision then this may be for you. You will need bags of energy, patience and resilience and be able to work in a small team. Training around Trauma Perceptive Practice, Attachment and, Bruce Perry's 6 Core Strengths will be provided only with other CPD opportunities.
Originally set up in 2011, GROW is an alternative education provision for a small number of children who are not learning and/or progressing in their current school because of the barriers caused by behaviour, emotional needs or social difficulties. GROW provides each child with a curriculum planned for their individual needs which is monitored and reviewed carefully. Links to the referring school continue throughout the placement. Children will work within the designated GROW space and within an identified mainstream class in the school leading to full reintegration back to their home school.
This post is offered initially on a fixed term basis until August 2023 in line with the current Essex Local Authority funding agreement. A further 3 year funding agreement to August 2026 is expected next year. Secondment applications would also be welcomed.

Lyons Hall Primary school is a popular and successful Braintree school. It is the first school of the Learning Pathways Academy Trust which also includes Braiswick Primary in Colchester and White Hall Academy in Clacton-On-Sea.
