Fixed Term Maternity Cover (1 year)

8.15am - 1:15pm (15 minute break)

23.75hrs p/w term time only, Monday to Friday

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of Level 2 Early years qualification and at least 2 years experience in a similar role.

If you have an enthusiastic and positive attitude along with excellent communication and written skills, and the ability to build strong, supportive relationships with children, parents and staff, then this may be the right opportunity for you.

Role and Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Nursery Teacher and Early Years Practitioners:

· Provide a stimulating, educational and safe environment for children in which they can develop to their full potential

· Act as a key person to supervise children in their activities, at play and at mealtimes

· Establish positive relationships with children and their parents/carers

Early Years Practitioner Skills/Qualifications:

· Level 2 (or above) full and relevant Childcare Qualification

· Minimum 2 years' post qualification desirable

· Thorough understanding and knowledge of legislation including EYFS

· Empathetic, caring and friendly

· Enthusiastic, positive attitude

· Patient

· Solution not problem lead

· Able to handle change

· Excellent understanding of the characteristics of effective learning

· Love of the outdoors and can promote to others the value of outdoor learning
