SEN Learning Support Assistant
27.50 hours per week
38 working weeks - 43.3 paid weeks depending on experience
Start date: September 2022
We have a wonderful opportunity to work in our incredible two form entry school. We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated class based Learning Support Assistant to be part of our amazing team. This post is to be based on our Foundation Stage, with a particular focus on supporting children with additional needs. You will work under the direction of the class teacher and be supported by the SENCo to support pupils' learning and deliver targeted support for some children with additional needs. Experience of working with children with special needs is desirable and some experience of supporting personal care is preferable.
The successful candidate will:
*be positive and have a passion for supporting young children;
*have a high level of empathy and compassion;
*have the ability to form positive relationships with colleagues, children and parents;
*have experience of and is confident in supporting children's special educational needs, including social & emotional;
*be prepared to take on any educational training as required (funded and supported by the school);
*remain calm in challenging situations and work closely as part of a team; liaise with and report to the class teacher and SENCo;
