This is a rare and exciting opportunity for an experienced administrator to join our small, friendly community school.

If you are experienced within the field of admin, have a friendly and flexible approach, this may be the role for you.

Working weeks: - Term-time plus non-pupil days (39 weeks per year)

Salary: - Ranges from Band 1 to Band 2 point 5 (salary offered will depend on experience)

Actual salary ranges from £12,629.49 to £13,536.76 (FTE from £18,883 to £19,650)

Hours per week: - 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, working hours will be discussed at interview and will be based around the needs of the school.

Waterman Primary School has an exciting opportunity for an experienced administrator to join their friendly and supportive team.

The successful applicant will:

  • Undertake all aspects of school administration (after school clubs, school uniform, school meals etc.)
  • Assist with the monitoring of attendance
  • Act as first point of contact within school
  • Assist pupils who are injured or unwell, administrating first aid and medication where required
  • Attend meetings and take minutes
  • Act as governance administrator
  • Update and maintain school records
  • Undertake finance administration
  • Oversee website administration

Waterman Primary School is a small, friendly school in the heart of Rochford, serving the local community. At Waterman we are committed to supporting each and every family and child who attends our school. We support children's SEMH needs, strive for academic excellence and ensure our children have the best opportunities while with us.

At Waterman, we provide free weekly swimming lessons to all of our children, in a newly refurbished, in-door heated on-site pool. We also provide Forest Schools lessons, which our children thoroughly enjoy. While Year 6 outcomes have improved year on year for the past 4 years. Waterman is smaller than many other local schools and is made up of four classes - Nursery & Reception, Year 1&2, Year 3&4 and Year 5&6.
