Experienced Pre-School Manager
Hours: 30 hours
Pay: Scale 6 Point 12
An exciting opportunity has arisen at our friendly and popular school.
We are a kind and caring school and pre-school, where our children's needs are at the heart of everything that we do. Our vision for our whole school community focuses on our three core values, 'Believe in Friendship', 'Inspire Courage' and 'Achieve Confidence' and through these we provide an inclusive and engaging curriculum for all children.
We are currently looking to employ an experienced pre-school manager to join our dedicated and hard-working team. Our pre-school provides early years education for children aged 3 and 4 and plays a pivotal role in helping children to transition into the Reception year. Our early years provision at St Andrew's encourages each child to be independent and curious learners. We use the early excellence approach of continuous provision and a successful candidate will develop this in the pre-school setting. We have recently expanded our provision to full time, due to popular demand from our local community. We are looking for the right person to continue to build on this success and work with the SLT to develop our pre-school curriculum.
We are seeking to employ a manager who is highly motivated, enthusiastic and who has a passion for child development.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience of leading and managing a successful early year's team demonstrating innovative practice, leadership and management skills.
- Is qualified to level 4.
- Is passionate about child development and who has a strong vision for engaging staff and parents to secure a successful future for the Pre-School.
- Kind, caring and patient
- Is self-motivated and enthusiastic and who has good interpersonal skills.
- Has a detailed knowledge of all current legislation relevant to the early years setting and can demonstrate an excellent working knowledge of the revised EYFS framework.
- Demonstrates excellent planning, leadership and management skills.
- Supports the school's Christian ethos and values.
- Will liaise with parents and carers, informing them of their child's progress and development.
- An awareness and compassionate understanding to inclusion.
- A passion to promote the safety, wellbeing and education of young children.
- Has experience of using Tapestry, although this is not essential as training will be provided.
We can offer:
- A welcoming and inclusive school where every individual is valued.
- Continued professional development in an environment of skilled primary and early years practitioners.
- The support of our experienced EYFS leader and Senior Leadership Team.
- Supportive governors.
- A stimulating, challenging and varied program of play-based learning.
- Engaged and curious pupils.
- A forward-thinking dynamic team.
- A purpose-built Pre-school environment and resources.
- Kind and supportive families.
- An established staff wellbeing programme.
