We have an exciting opportunity for a Learning Support Assistant to join our friendly, village primary school from September. The successful candidate should understand the importance of creating a safe, nurturing environment for children and have a desire to help them all achieve their best.
The role is for 16 hours per week and is for a fixed term of 12 months starting on2nd September2022. Hours of work will be Wednesday to Friday - 8.30am - 12.00, 1pm - 3.pm. The role will include one paid morning break duty per week.
The role is paid at Scale 3, Point 4 (range 4-5), gross actual salary£6,918.02
The successful candidate should:
- Be enthusiastic and have a positive attitude
- Be committed to supporting extending the children's learning and helping to develop their critical thinking
- Be confident in making judgments about children's abilities and provide insightful and useful observations
- Be competent in maintaining appropriate and accurate records of assessment
- Have creative ideas which can be contributed to the planning of activities
- Have excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
- Be willing to learn new skills and take on different tasks when required
- Demonstrate high expectations of achievement for all pupils
- Be an excellent team player but be confident in working independently if required
- Have a good sense of humour!
The ideal candidate will have a good standard of Maths and English, both written and spoken (O Level or GCSE grade C or above) and experience of working in a primary school classroom would be preferable.
