Iceni Academy are seeking an enthusiastic and driven Assistant Headteacher/SENCo to join our passionate Leadership Team.
This vacancy is for an Assistant Headteacher who can support the Headteacher with the Teaching and Learning of the school, including school improvement.
The successful candidate must have experience of leading on monitoring and evaluation of teaching and learning within a school.
The Assistant Headteacher will also be the SENCo for the school. Ideally you should hold the accredited SENCo qualification, but for the right candidate, Connected Learning MAT will provide the training to obtain this qualification.
Core purpose as SENCo:
- Determine the strategic development of special educational needs (SEN) policy and provision in the school
- Be responsible for day-to-day operation of the SEN policy and co-ordination of specific provision to support individual pupils with SEN or a disability
- Provide professional guidance to colleagues, working closely with staff, parents and other agencies
