Pre-School Early Years Key Worker - 38 weeks per year plus INSET days (39 working weeks per year)

Hours of work -15 hours per week. 9am to 12pm Monday to Friday

SalaryBanding - Band 2, point 3 to 5

Salary Range - Actual Salary (level 3 qualification) from £6,724.98 to £6,987.79 (Full time equivalent £19,524 to £20,287 including fringe allowance)


Hilltots Pre-School who are based on site with Hilltop Infant School, are looking to recruit an EYKW, ideally qualified to Level 3.

The successful candidate will be experienced and thrive in the day-to-daysetting of a pre-school.

The successful applicant will:

  • Provide a stimulating and safe environment for children in which they can develop to their full potential;
  • Supervise children in various activities;
  • Establish positive relationships with children and their parent/carer;
  • Promote an inclusive and acceptance for all children, including those with special needs;
  • Monitor and record children's activities, progress and development;
  • Record detailed observations;
  • Assist children with snack time, including the preparation of food, assisting with eating and clearing up.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Educated to at least Level 2, ideally level 3 in Childcare;
  • Child protection and safeguarding legislation and procedures;
  • Basic First Aid;
  • Knowledge of child development.
