Attendance at Nine Full Governing Body meetings per year

Attendance at Three Sub-Committee Meetings per year

Payment based on £300 per FGB meeting, £150 per sub-committee

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, flexible, motivated and committed person to be responsible for providing professional clerk services to our Governing Body.

The key responsibilities will include providing; full clerking services to the Full Governing Body and individual committees throughout the year as well as accessing information and providing advice on all governance, procedural and constitutional matters to ensure ongoing legal and regulatory compliance.

The successful applicant will display excellent standards of verbal and written communication and be highly competent in the use of ICT. Experience of clerking is desirable but not essential as full clerk's training will be provided for the successful candidate.

Flexibility is essential for this role as many of the meetings take place in the early evening as well as during the day. And payments are paid via a monthly claim, as hours will be spread across the year to enable time to prepare for and attend the meetings as well as completing the minutes.

Moulsham Junior School and its governing body take their safeguarding responsibilities very seriously and expect all staff to do likewise. As part of this commitment any appointment will be subject to satisfactory completion of pre-employment checks including an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check, medical clearance and suitable references.
