- Mastery: delivering excellent teaching & learning and developing excellent learners. Students are ambitious and committed.
- Character: developing students into well rounded young people who we can be confident in to "do the right thing when no-one is looking".
- Perspective: how our students fit into the world around them, how they appropriately challenge wrongs, and promote what is right. Students are open minded, compassionate and promote the differences found in all of us.
We are looking for a talented and inspirational Assistant Headteacher to provide professional vision and leadership for the Academy. Message from Damian Lee, Head of Academy
This is an exciting time to be joining the Academy. We have built on the success of our Good OFSTED rating last year and have seen great improvements in the quality of teaching and learning throughout all areas of the school. This was confirmed in 2019 by our best ever results with English and Maths securing 76% of their students a grade 4 or above, making us one of the most improved schools in the country.
Over the last 4 years the academy has seen a huge increase in student numbers with number of students on roll more than doubling. Staff numbers have also increased and the academy is proud to boast high staff retention rates. Staff development is a priority with an extensive and hugely successful CPD (Continuing Professional Development) program to further develop our excellent staff.
If you are looking at roles at New Rickstones Academy I would strongly encourage you to arrange a visit to see the academy for yourself.
