We are looking to appoint an LSA to carry out interventions across our school with pupils in years 1-6. The role will involve working with children on a 1:1 basis and in small groups. The contract is fixed term, in place until 31st March 2023.
Suitable applicants will need to be able to work as part of a team as well as independently; following a structured programme of learning. Applicants should be organised and show initiative and flexibility, be patient and understand the confidential nature of the role. The successful candidate must have GCSE English and Maths at grades A-C or an equivalent qualification. Preferably the successful candidate will also be NVQ level 3 qualified. Understanding of children with individual needs is expected, as is a caring attitude and commitment to the role. In addition, the successful candidate will also have the opportunity to work alongside the staff of St Nicholas CofE (VC) Primary School as both schools work together through the Federation arrangement.
We are a small, friendly Church of England Primary school in Canewdon, near Rochford that firmly believes that every child has amazing potential and that we need to work together to give all children the best possible education and care.

Canewdon Primary is part of a federation of two schools. We value the individuality of each school; whilst we also believe that it is vital that we share expertise and resources effectively in order to survive and thrive as small schools. The successful candidate will be expected to occasionally work across the federation and travel between schools if necessary.
