Job Advert for School Business Manager (Part Time Permanent Position)

Start Date -As soon as possible
Annual Salary Scale 7 (Actual salary £18386 - £20886)
Contract - 28 hours per week, 42 weeks per year (39 weeks term date and 3 weeks in school closure periods to be agreed). Exact working pattern to be agreed with the successful candidate.
The school Governors would like to appoint an efficient, organised and welcoming School Business Manager who is dedicated to managing and maintaining an effective school office and its financial and administrative systems. You will be part of a team committed to providing an excellent education for the children of St Margaret's.
The successful candidate will be a part of the senior leadership team of the school who strive to ensure the best outcomes for every child.
The role includes:
· All aspects of financial and human resources management.
· Resources and facilities management.
· Line management of site staff, the catering and midday team and office staff.
· Marketing and promoting the school.
· Income generation and bids for funding.
We are looking for a Business Manager who:
Will put children at the heart of all they do
· Has a commitment to working collaboratively with staff to inspire, enable and empower them to achieve high standards
· Will develop positive relationships with our children and families.
· Has experience of managing budgets and financial reporting systems
· Has experience of HR
· Has experience of IT and knowledge of accounting and school management information systems
· Ideally has experience of working in a school business environment
· Has excellent written and spoken English and ability to compose correspondence and reports
· Is a positive role model, to lead and motivate others
· Has good interpersonal skills
· Has the ability to prioritise work schedules, good time management and can work well under pressure
· Is flexible and resilient
· Has high expectations of yourself and others
· Has proven leadership skills and the ability to line manage others
· Has a willingness and passion to get involved in the wider life of the school
· Is able to work to deadlines
