Finance, HR and Administrative Support Assistant

Pay range: NJC/LGPS Scale 4/5, Range Point 7 to 11, FTE £20,444 to £22,129 (April 2021 NJC) (depending on experience)

Hours/Week: 32.5 Hr/Wk, 44.9 Wk/Yr (Term time + 2 week) (8:30 am - 3:30 pm) with a unpaid 30 minute break

Days: Monday to Friday

Contract type: Permanent

Start: Immediate when all Safer Recruitment checks are completed.

This is a great opportunity for an individual who is enthusiastic, caring and an experienced Finance, HR and Administrative Assistant. This is a highly valued and responsible position under the professional direction of the Business Manager. The purpose of the role is to provide HR, administrative and financial support to the Business Manager.

We are looking to recruit an experienced, highly motivated Finance, HR and Administrative Assistant to join the Stapleford Abbotts team to ensure we can provide this environment.


We are looking for

  • An exemplary Finance, HR and Administrative Support Assistant,
  • Inspired with passion and ambition, an energetic, creative and committed professional,
  • An optimist with a can-do approach,
  • To support the Business Manager in maintaining a balanced budget.
  • To process Purchase Orders and supplier invoices for prompt payment.
  • Check and balance supplier statements to ensure no invoices are left outstanding.
  • To support the Business Manager in providing information requested by Trust (TKAT) and the LGB..
  • To support the Business Manager with year-end processes.
  • To support in the recruitment of new staff and HR process. .
  • To support the maintenance of the schools Management Information System (MIS).
  • To provide administrative support in the school office.
  • A flexible approach to their work and ability to work independently,
  • Good record keeping skills, a good standard of written English, a good understanding of MS Office applications and or Google applications.
  • A role model who sets high expectations and establishes productive working relationships with pupils and staff, Committed to achieving high standards.

Information about the School

Stapleford Abbotts School was built in 1887 and has been an important part of village life since its establishment. Over the past ten years, the school has become popular and there has been considerable amount of refurbishment and new build. The school attracts children from a wide catchment area and from the neighbouring London Boroughs of Redbridge, Dagenham, and Havering. We are committed to. Involving the wider community with school life and work closely with other agencies including other rural schools in the Epping area.
