Learning Support Assistant
Required for September 2022
Sacred Heart Primary School and Nursery has been a consistently good school for many years and have a friendly, dedicated and supportive team of staff. Our children are well behaved and enjoy coming to a school where everyone belongs. There is a strong sense of community.
Sacred Heart School seeks to appoint a caring and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant. The role will involve working alongside teaching staff to support learning activities at our school, and will also involve working and supporting pupils with additional needs. Ideally, we are seeking someone who has experience of working, understanding and supporting children and who knows that teaching and learning is really important.
Successful applicants need to be able to support the demands of the school curriculum, having excellent literacy, numeracy and communication skills. We need someone who will be committed to our school and will be able to work closely as part of our outstanding team of people. We need someone who will thrive when working with children and be flexible, ready to do any reasonable task and be prepared to learn a range of new skills.
Applicants need to be sympathetic and supportive of the school's Catholic ethos (applications are invited from non-Catholic as well as Catholic staff).
The position will be from 08.30-15.30, with a half-hour lunch break Monday to Friday, term time only.
Visits to the school are welcomed.
