Higher Level Teaching Assistant vacancy

Sacred Heart Primary School and Nursery has been a consistently good school for many years and have a friendly, dedicated team where everyone belongs. Our children are well behaved and enjoy coming to school.
We are seeking an enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant. We are looking to appoint a passionate, nurturing and patient individual who is keen to work as part of a committed team. You will need to be confident in the delivery of a range of subjects, particularly core subjects.
You will need to:

  • Support the Catholic ethos of the school (applications are invited from non-Catholic as well as Catholic staff);
  • Be able to support in the delivery of high quality learning experiences for all pupils;
  • Have high expectations of learning and behaviour and inspire and motivate our children;
  • Be supportive, nurturing and understanding;
  • Seek to make learning exciting and a positive experience;
  • Communicate well with parents, carers and members of staff, as well as pupils;
  • Work well as part of a team;
  • Be willing to contribute to school life outside of the classroom;
  • Hold HLTA status, or equivalent qualification, or be prepared to work toward completing a HLTA qualification.

The position will be from 08.30-15.30, with a half-hour lunch break Monday to Friday, term time only.
