An opportunity has arisen for an efficient and conscientious Finance Officer to join the Finance team for Alpha Trust, based at Colchester County High School for Girls. A term-time working contract with 10 days working in the school holidays will also be considered, salary will be adjusted accordingly.

The successful applicant will be organised and professional, with good numeracy skills, being able to undertake complex financial/budgetary calculations. The successful applicant will be responsible for the day to day, operation and administration of the financial functions of the Trust division.

The successful applicant must have an AAT qualification or equivalent. A working knowledge of a school environment, policies and procedures would be desirable but not essential. For further information, please see the attached Job Description and Person Specification.

Colchester County High School for Girls is part of Alpha Trust. It is a selective state school for academically able students aged from 11 to 18 years which consistently achieves public examination results at the highest level and Ofsted "Outstanding". Admission to the school is via the 11+ examination in Year 7; the school also admits academic students into the Sixth Form. The school is lead for the North East Essex Teaching School Alliance and Colchester Teacher Training Consortium is based on the site. Situated a mile to the west of central Colchester, the school is set in its own extensive grounds on a large, quiet campus.
