We are now in our third year of operation and expanding our senior leadership team to allow increased focus on our SEN provision.
We opened in September 2019 and cater for 12 pupils with SEN (specific / moderate learning difficulties and complex learning profiles) aged between 6 and 16 years. We have exciting opportunities for a positive, flexible, compassionate personwho wishes to join our senior leadership team and lead our SEN provision within our school.
You will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operation of the school, especially the SEN policy and co-ordination of specific provision to support SEN pupils, including but not limited to, annual reviews, One Plans and other SEN paperwork. You will provide professional guidance to colleagues, working closely with staff, parents and other agencies. Ownership and use of a car full time, as well as a full driving license is essential.
The successful applicant will need to have substantial recent experience of being a SENCO as well as teaching pupils with SEN, up to the end of Key Stage 4.
This is a great opportunity to share your skills in working with SEN pupils in a small, nurturing special school setting. A commitment to working as part of a team, being teachable, teaching / supporting others and to developing your own skills is essential.
If you would like a tour, please contact Jenny, our office manager to arrange.
This post is to start as soon as possible; applications will be screened as soon as they are made and may be contacted sooner than the closing date; therefore, early applications are most welcome.
