Queen Boudica Primary School is a thriving and successful two-form entry primary school situated on the north side of Colchester. We offer modern, well-resourced learning environments and our pupils are well mannered, dynamic and motivated to learn.
Due to the pending Maternity Leave of a member of our team, Queen Boudica Primary School is looking for a Learning Support Assistant to be deployed in Sycamore class (Year 5) according to requirements. Whilst the LSA role is primarily for a general classroom LSA, there may be occasions when work to support an individual pupil 1:1 is required. Experience of working with children, a good standard of education (Level 2/GCSE level minimum) and a strong commitment to making a real difference to children's learning and wellbeing is essential.
The LSA post is for 17 hours 15 minutes per week during term time (hours as listed above). You will be offered strong support from friendly colleagues and professional development opportunities to enable you to extend your existing skill set. We are committed to providing a well-balanced curriculum to all children and part of this role will include support for children with a variety of SEND needs: experience in this field would be an advantage.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of our children and all staff share this commitment. This post will be subject to enhanced DBS Disclosure, suitable references and a pre-employment medical check.
We reserve the right to close the advert early if an appropriate candidate applies.
Closing date: Friday 10th December noon
Interviews: Week beginning Monday 13th December
