We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, committed and enthusiastic SEND Administrator to join our rapidly improving school in which "the leadership of provision for pupils who have SEND is good" (Ofsted 2017). The successful candidate will be the first point of contact in the SEND Department for staff, students, parents and outside agencies. The post holder will be responsible for providing an outstanding administrative service to the SEND Coordinator and Learning Support team which includes typing and circulating documents, taking and receiving phone calls, making diary appointments, taking minutes, record keeping and arranging meetings. The hours are flexible and could be covered by working 4 hours per day, Monday to Friday, or working 3 full days per week.

The successful applicant will:

· Have at least 2-3 years' experience of working in an office environment

· Have GCSE / O-Level Grades A* to C in English and Maths or equivalent

· Have effective written and oral communication skills

· Have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively

· Be self-motivated, self-reliant and well organised

· Be able to cope with conflicting demands, deadlines and interruptions.

· Be able to use Word, Excel and Outlook to intermediate level

· Be able to work on their own initiative and be a good team player

Desirable Criteria:

· Have work experience in a similar or same role in an administrative capacity

· Have knowledge of relevant safeguarding/child protection legislation and best practice

· Have experience of SIMS Database, or similar management information systems

· Have experience of working within an educational setting with young people with SEND
