Student Engagement Officer
Based at Beauchamps High School, Wickford
Employed via West Ham United
West Ham United Foundation are looking for a degree level candidate to assist the Development Manager at West Ham United Foundation and Deputy Headteacher & Pastoral team at Beauchamps High School, to fully engage disaffected students within their education, seeking to raise aspirations and create a focused improvement plan.
Some of the key responsibilities will include:
- Work closely with disaffected students to ensure they access their learning, and engage positively in their lessons.
- Develop and deliver group workshops/programmes, in line with school priorities. Such programmes may include: early intervention for school based anxiety; social skills; healthy bodies and minds; physical activities to improve wellbeing, etc.
- Formulate bespoke action plans and targets for students who you specifically work with, and review these on a weekly basis.
- Effectively lead the delivery and implementation of extracurricular sports provision with targeted groups to support the mentoring programme
- Support extra-curricular across the wider school, working with the PE department.
- Develop relationships with local primary schools.
