School holiday programme facilitators - St Osyth Priory
We are looking for two enthusiastic and personable teachers or craft specialists to join our team at St Osyth Priory Education Centre on a casual basis during school holidays to deliver public programming.
If you enjoy working with the public, bringing history alive and delivering creative workshops then this will be an exciting opportunity to be involved in the Priory Education Centre's ongoing development.
You will be joining a core team of trained teachers, providing additional staffing during busy periods. In the first instance you will be joining the team to lead small groups around the St Osyth Priory estate during October half term and running a craft workshop at the Priory Education Centre.
Job description
- Greeting guests
- Helping to set up craft activities and cleaning and maintaining craft equipment
- Leading tours of the estate
- Delivering arts and craft workshops
- Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed
Person specification
- Excellent communicator who can tell stories in an inspiring and engaging way
- Team player who enjoys pitching in to help
- Teaching qualification, or equivalent experience in arts and craft tuition
- Ability to learn detailed information and facts and convey these accurately to groups
- Demonstrable interest in history and / or art and crafts
- Available to work selected dates during school holidays

St Osyth Priory is an exceptional collection of heritage assets comprising 16 separate Grade I, II* and II listed buildings set within a Grade II registered historic park and garden.
The vision for this mesmerising collection of buildings and landscape, is to fully revitalise and restore the historic assets to their former glory.
The St Osyth Priory Education Centre has been established to welcome school groups to this important and historic site.
