SEND LSA approx. 17.5 or 32.5 hours per week with the possibility of 32.5 hours per week - Scale 4 Point 6-7
Required for 38 weeks per year
Fixed Term Contract until 31st August 2022 with the possibility of extending the contract
The Governors of Great Dunmow Primary school are seeking to appoint an SEND LSA to work 1:1 with a child with ASD. Experience of working with pupils with ASD is essential. We are a friendly, happy and caring school and are looking for a candidate who will contribute to our very effective learning environment.
We are looking for someone who has:
¨ Educated to GCSE level in English and Maths and if possible a relevant LSA training qualification
¨ Experience in working 1:1 with children with ASD
¨ A caring and sensitive approach
¨ A patient and positive attitude, along with a good sense of humour
¨ Good communication skills, patience and being motivated to encourage pupils to achieve to the best of their ability
You will be expected to:
¨ Work closely with the class teacher to ensure progress of identified pupils
¨ Undertake specialist SEND training as required
¨ Keep up to date with changes and developments in education relevant to the role
¨ Work in collaboration with other colleagues
¨ Liaise closely with parents
