Southend East Community Academy Trust (SECAT) are seeking to appoint an HR Officer to join the central team.

You will be reporting to the Senior HR Officer as an integral member of the Multi Academy Trust's (MAT) Central team, the HR Officer is responsible for providing HR support to all members of the Central team and academies across all seven sites within the MAT.

As part of the central team you will advise line managers and other employees on employment law and the MAT's own employment policies and procedures. As well as support with promoting best practice and ensuring compliance with HR processes and procedures for 500 staff members.

SECAT is a Multi Academy Trust, which consists of one large secondary school, three primary schools, and an infant and a junior school all within 1.6 miles of each other. We have a mixture of long-standing and newer Headteachers within our SECAT community who all work well together to deliver the outcomes we have come to expect and to work with our colleagues in the Local Authority and other schools in Southend.

The Central Multi-Academy Trust Head Office is based at SECAT House, which is in the extensive grounds of Thorpedene Primary School. The Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer and PA to the Executive Team, all work from SECAT House.

The Central Finance Team, the Central ICT Team, the Central Estates Team and the Central HR Team are all based in Shoeburyness High School .

Each school has a Local Academy Committee, to which the Trust Board delegate responsibilities.
