Learning Support Assistant

27.5 hours per week -LSA (8:45am - 12:00pm and 1:15pm - 3:15pm) Term time + 5 INSET days.
Start ASAP until 31/8/2022
Fixed Term Contract
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, caring, and hard-working Learning Support Assistant to support the emotional and academic needs of Year 5 children within our school.
The successful candidate will:
Have a calm, patient and positive approach to working with children including those with learning, medical or behavioural difficulties.
Show some understanding of a therapeutic approach to supporting children (additional training provided).
Be able to work as part of a team, under the direction of the class teacher, as well as being able to show initiative.
Have a commitment to helping children of all abilities reach their full potential.
Hold at least a grade C in Maths and English at GCSE level (or equivalent).
Have previous experience as a teaching assistant in the primary setting or other phase
Have school based ICT experience or be willing to develop their skills.
Be committed to making an impact on our children's education.
Have an understanding or awareness of SEN issues.
Have the ability to liaise closely with class teachers to deliver the National Curriculum and specific interventions.
Be kind and courteous to all.
