Woodville Primary School, the founding school of FennWood Academy Trust, is a positive, vibrant and successful school which gained an 'Outstanding' Ofsted in February 2020. We pride ourselves on providing a happy learning environment for all our pupils.

We are currently looking to appoint a School Business Manager to join our happy and hardworking school office team. Previous experience of working as a School Business Manager within a busy school office, a knowledge of computer systems and FMS/SIMS is desirable. The successful candidate should be a reliable, organised and friendly person with excellent financial, administrative and interpersonal skills.

This is a part time position working 3 days per week (21 hours) term time, non-pupil days and 2 weeks during the school holidays.

Main duties will include:

· To act as the personal and confidential Personal Assistant to the Headteacher, organising and updating the school diary.

· Working with the Finance Assistant on all matters of Financial administration. Preparation and monitoring of the school budget. Reporting to Directors and attending Governor/Director meetings when required.

· To liaise with the Academy's accountants for the end of year procedures and controls.

· To be responsible for personnel matters relating to all staff, including all aspects of staff recruitment, employment and issuing contracts.

· Liaising with both the Teachers' Pension and Local Government pension services.

· To be responsible for liaising with the outside agency for the provision of a comprehensive payroll service for all

· To be responsible for maintaining and compiling the Single Central Record. Maintaining confidential staff records.

· To oversee, monitor and maintain the Academy's GDPR and Data processing practices.

· Excellent organisation, interpersonal, multi-tasking and communication skills with an approachable confident manner and the ability to relate and deal with enquiries from adults, children and outside agencies.

· A flexible approach to daily tasks with the ability to work well both within a team and independently. With the ability to multitask and work calmly, efficiently and accurately throughout disturbances during the day but still meeting deadlines.
