Teacher of Level 2 BTEC Engineering and KS3 Science

Job Description

Required for September 2021, a teacher with the ability to teach Level 2 BTEC Engineering and KS3 Science to join an ambitious Science & Engineering Department.

You will require a solid understanding of manufacturing technologies such as injection moulding, 3D printing and CNC processes, as well as a firm grasp of the processes involved in product design and development at Level 2. In addition, confidence in the use of hand tools and workshop power tools such as the pillar drill, scroll saw and vacuum former would be essential. Holding a current Design and Technology H&S certificate could be an advantage, but not essential as training will be provided.

A dedicated classroom teacher, you will contribute to the department's development, being passionate about giving our students the best classroom experiences to enhance their learning, and an enhanced experience of engineering by contributing to our extra-curricular programme.. Our Engineering offer is growing and we are ambitious to extend to Level 3 provision in the future.

This post is suitable for new entrants to the profession as well as more experienced teachers. We have an excellent NQT induction programme and a commitment to professional development for all staff.
