Deputy Headteacher/ SENCO

Full Time - Classroom Based 3 days per week

Leadership Scale L1 - L5

Required 1st September 2021

This vacancy requires someone with the National SENDCo award or someone committed to obtaining the qualification within 18 months.

We want our Deputy Head/SENCO to:

· have a passion for teaching, learning, school improvement and inclusion for all

· have a clear vision for the inclusion of all pupils

· expect the highest standards from all staff and pupils

· be an outstanding teacher with an excellent knowledge of the primary age range and curriculum

· to support the Head Teacher in effectively leading school development within a dedicated team

· be an excellent communicator with a strong commitment to working in partnership with staff, pupils, families and external agencies

· have an excellent understanding of successful approaches and interventions to support pupil progress

· have an up to date knowledge of the new SEND Framework and Code of Practice

· have the skills to effectively line manage staff and be committed to supporting others to develop their practice

· Hold the highest regard for the safeguarding of all pupils and staff
