Pay Range: Teachers Main/Upper PayRange (£25,714 - £41,604)
Start Date: 1st September 2021
The Role
We are seeking an outstanding individual to be an effective professional who demonstrates thorough curriculum knowledge, that he/she can teach and assess effectively, take responsibility for professional development and raise student achievement.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Understanding and applying effective classroom management.
- Understanding and applying a range of teaching strategies.
- Positively targeting and supporting individual learning needs.
- Maintaining high levels of behaviour and discipline.

We're looking for you if you have:
- Have a working knowledge of teachers' professional duties and legal liabilities.
- Operate at all times within the stated policies and practices of the school.
- Maintain an up to date knowledge of good practice in teaching techniques.
- Know subject(s) or specialism(s) to enable effective teaching; take account of wider curriculum developments.

CCHS is a forward-thinking school with an innovative curriculum designed to meet the needs of all students whatever their ability or need. With an expanding number of students, currently approximately 1700, including a sixth form of around 300, we pride ourselves on creating a personal and supportive environment to promote higher expectations and raise aspirations.
In September 2018, CCHS was rated by Ofsted as a good school with many outstanding features, particularly in regard to leadership and our sixth form provision. We are also proud to be the lead school for the local teacher training scheme.
