Boreham Primary School is rated 'outstanding' by Ofsted. The school is a one form entry village school with approximately 220 pupils on roll; there are two Year 4 classes due to agreed larger numbers on intake.We pride ourselves on being a 'Friendship School' - our main school rule is 'Hurt body, hurt feelings, tell a grown-up'. We are looking to appoint an Attendance and Administration Officer who will monitor pupil attendance and punctuality, responding promptly to unexplained absence and assist the school in improving overall attendance and punctuality rates. You will also provide professional administrative work within the school, maintaining confidentiality at all times.

The school office is a busy yet fun place to work so you will need a good sense of humour and the ability to prioritise your workload and help other members of the team at busy times. You will work closely with the School Business Manager and other members of the Senior Leadership Team.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Provide effective administrative and clerical support work for the school
  • Work with the Head Teacher, other school staff, parents, pupils and outside agencies to ensure the positive attendance of pupils across the school
  • Support and deal with reception area/visitor matters ensuring safeguarding policies are followed
  • Form strong relationships with parents/carers
  • To follow attendance policy and send out letters when required
  • To ensure all unexplained absences are accounted for
  • Run the school census
  • To ensure all first aid training is up to date within the school
  • Manage administration and booking of all school trips, residentials and sporting events
  • Maintenance of our milk scheme
  • Admitting new starters to the school and preparing leavers information to forwarding schools
  • Other administrative duties as and when required
