Learning Support Assistant
New Essex Pay Scale 3
Point 4-5, depending on experience
Required: March 2021
15 hours per week
We are looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant to be part of our caring, competent and jolly team of Support staff. The successful candidate will be required for five afternoons a week during term time. The role is a classroom based LSA, working 1-1 with an autistic child in our Early Years Foundation Stage (Reception).
Candidates must have:
· A good educational background including at least GCSE grade C or above in English and Mathematics and ideally, NVQ Level 2 Supporting Children in Education.
· Experience of working 1-1 with SEN children in an educational setting, ideally EYFS.
You should be prepared to work in partnership with the class teacher, taking direction while also using your own initiative and be firm, kind, patient, consistent, flexible and approachable.
The role is for a fixed-term from March to July 2021, when it will be reviewed.
