The Ortu Federation is made up of Ortu Corringham Primary School, Ortu Gable Hall School, Ortu Hassenbrook and the Ortu Stanford and Corringham Sixth Form Centre. Teaching opportunities are available from KS1 to KS5 across the Trust.

Our challenge is to maximise our pupil's progress. Even with headline figures above national in our secondary schools, we recognise that we still have gains to be made. G.C.S.E results for 2019 showed increases in English, Maths and Science in both secondary schools.

Gable Hall is a high-achieving Performing Arts Specialist 11-19 Academy in the North East of Thurrock. It is a Leading Edge School, has won several national awards for achievement and improvement in the past four years: International Schools Award (2012), Quality Mark in Study Support (2012), SSAT Top 20% Most Improved School etc (2012, 2013) and holds many prestigious national awards (IiP Gold (2012), EQualities Award (2013), Healthy Schools - Enhanced (2013), Sports Mark (2014) and Arts Mark Gold (2014), National Leaders in Parent Partnership Award (LPPA 2014) and ROQA Quality Mark in careers advice (2014), amongst others.
Gable Hall School converted to Academy status in 2011 and in 2013 became a Multi-Academy Trust.
We are, however, most proud of our young people; an increasing number of whom are winning places at top universities or competing successfully for some very high profile work positions. They have tremendous gifts, talents and potential. My staff and I, supported by their parents, gain tremendous satisfaction and pleasure in seeing them achieve.
