Berlesduna Trust has an exciting opportunity for a SEMH Manager to join the team in January 2021.
The hours are 8am to 4pm Monday to Friday, term time only (plus 1 week).
Salary Scale 7, Point 19 (Range 19-24). Actual Salary £22,282 (including paid annual leave which must be taken during school closure periods).

We are a supportive, inclusive and caring Trust that welcomes all children. We are establishing our own Enhanced Mainstream Provision for SEMH at Felmore Primary School, which will provide support and education for children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Challenges.
We are looking to appoint a highly motivated, empathetic and resilient SEMH Manager who has experience of working with children with special education needs, in particular SEMH. This person will have an understanding of SEMH and the challenges that this brings for children.
You will be supporting and nurturing primary aged pupils who have SEMH difficulties. You will be responsible for supporting them throughout their time in the setting. You will help the children to progress socially and academically by working closely with a SEMH team, as well as other school staff. You will be expected to feedback to class teachers and SENCOs about the child's progress and general wellbeing. You will be required to attend other schools in the Trust in order to work with staff and the families of pupils.
You will ideally hold a Level 3 teaching assistant qualification or higher. You will have experience of working with and supporting younger children with SEN in a school setting. You will have experience of providing support for SEN children and be confident in meeting their needs. You will have an understanding of the National Curriculum. Ideally you will have an understanding of issues surrounding SEMH children and have good behaviour management skills. Most importantly you will have a passion for working with children with additional needs and be a positive and enthusiastic team player.
