We are seeking to appoint an LSA for our small, village school. Working 32.5 hours per week term time, plus 5 INSET days, with a named child in KS1, this role will require working 1:1 with a child, facilitating small groups, and within the whole class.
St Nicholas is looking to recruit a caring practitioner who will have experience of supporting children with speech, language and social communication difficulties which impacts on their behaviour as well as facilitation the acquisition of basic reading, writing, phonics, maths, fine motor skills and independence.
The ideal candidate will be expected to:
· Have high expectations of children's learning and conduct;
· Have a positive and supportive work ethic;
· Support children by following programmes devised by the school/professionals and modify planning to suit the needs of the child/children;
· Have a proactive approach to CPD.
Key Skills Required:
· Mathematics and English GCSE C or above, or equivalent;
· Effective communication skills;
· Work creatively and confidently both independently and as part of a team;
· Ability to remain calm in all circumstances whilst demonstrating flexibility, care and patience;
· Have compassion, empathy and a good sense of humour.

Information about the School
St Nicholas C of E Primary School admits Infant and Junior Boys and Girls aged to 4 to 11.
The admissions limit is 21 pupil per year group.
In November 2019, we became part of the Diocese of Chelmsford Vine Schools Trust.
