The Endeavour Co-operative Academy (part of Keys Co-operative Academy Trust) is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic & dedicated Key Stage Leader to contribute to high quality teaching and learning at The Endeavour Co-operative Academy.

We have had confirmation from the DfE that we can extend the age range of the academy to include a Key Stage 5 provision, opening in September 2021. We are seeking financial support from Essex LA for a new building to accommodate this expansion, to complement a CIF bid.

This is an incredible opportunity for the successful candidate to spend 2 terms, from January 2021, planning & preparing for the start of a Key Stage 5 at The Endeavour Co-operative Academy. Included in this year will be the freedom to visit other schools, colleges, providers & institutions to give the Key Stage Leader enough information to plan the ideal curriculum for Key Stage 5 at The Endeavour, working closely with the Deputy Headteacher. Our first cohort will start Year 12 in September 2021, followed by a Year 12 & 13 in September 2022, then Year 12, 13 & 14 in September 2023. Each year group will have between 12 & 20 students. The role involves being part of an established, highly effective team of 3 Key Stage Leaders. All 3 have recently completed the Aspiring Leaders course, organised by ESSET, as part of preparation for senior leadership. This is a fantastic role, in which you could be the driving force in setting up a completely new provision. Although experience in a post-16 setting will be desirable, it is not a necessity, as potential to manage the demands of the role will be more important.

We encourage visits prior to submitting an application, please contact kstoneley@kcat.co.uk to arrange a visit.

Please do not send your CV, an application form must be completed.
