Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the above post, which offers an excellent opportunity to work at this highly successful Sixth Form College. The College holds Good Ofsted status and also Beacon status - one of the first four Sixth Form Colleges in the country to be awarded the latter.
The Sixth Form College is an inclusive educational provider. We currently have approximately a third of our College students listed on the learning support database (800-1000 students). This year we have 40 High Level Needs students for whom the relevant County Council funds further support and interventions. Of these students, 17 students have EHC Plans.
The successful applicant will join a large friendly Learning Support Team, consisting of the Director of Learning Support/ SENCO, a further part-time SENCO, an Exams Access Arrangements Manager, departmental administrative assistant and a team of 16 Learning Support Assistants. Our Learning Support Department works in partnership with the Welfare Team who deal with students with medical issues including mental health difficulties.
The successful applicant will ideally take up the post from 1st January 2021, but an earlier start date would be considered.
